You owe it to yourself and to the scaling of your writing or publishing to be on the web. Many self publishers and writers have not set one up. It't too technical, it's too costly, or it's too time consuming.
Don't be one of them!
Being deeply into the publishing and writing business ourselves, we sought a way for writers and self publishers to have a web presence without any of the headache or expense.
Have a website in just 3 easy steps
1) Enter your information.
2) Upload your book covers, and enter descriptions.
3) Select a theme.
We designed these sites specifically to showcase books, writers, and publishers. There is no tech knowledge needed. You know your business, we take care of the rest.
The best way to scale your business is to get your books and your brand in front of as many people as you can. When you rely on Amazon alone, you have no control over who will see your books. This is a 'keep your fingers crossed' approach to running your business. It is not reliable nor prudent. It's vital to get yourself and books known via other means.
Whether you run ads, make YouTube videos, make TikToks, put content on Pinterest or Instagram - all of these marketing efforts are best supported by having a website to send traffic to. Showcase your books. Showcase yourself. A website is your calling card to the world. Don't really on Amazon or other platforms to make yourself known to the readers out there. Be proactive in promoting yourself by putting your book(s) on one dedicated space.
Use your site to market yourself. Your books can serve as the calling card to other offers you have. Many businesses use a book as the first step in a funnel of offers.
Self Publisher Sites are for displaying anything book related. Whether you write historical fiction, biographies, business, science fiction or cookbooks - we have a website for you. Are you a low content publisher. That's fine. Are you writing the next best fantasy novel? No problem. Textbooks? How To Guides? Sure, why not.
Without a doubt the best way to grow your business is to have an email list. You then stay in touch directly with your readers and fans. Without a list you depend on Amazon or other traffic and searches showing your goods. You have no control. With a list you can bypass Amazon all together as your main traffic source becomes self directed.
Your site is created at the time you create your account. It will show a Coming Soon page to start. This is just one of the themes. You will change the theme after you upload your books. However you can always go back to the Coming Soon page while you add more content. By the way, switching back and forth does not affect your uploaded content. It stays in the system regardless of what is showing on the site. How cool is that!
Pay just a low $17 per month subscription fee. There are no hidden costs or setup fee. Creating a big website is out of reach for the majority of writers, and that's why we created Self Publisher Sites.
Yes. You will have a domain like this: https://selfpubsites.com/a/YOURNAME. The yourname part at the end is unique to you. You enter what that will be when you create your account. These are unique in the system. Only one account can have the unique name at the end.
You can have up to 100 books shown.
There are two options how to proceed. If the overall account should be about one pen name, then you will need a separate account for each pen name. However we also have the author name field at the book level. In this regard every book can have its own pen name. In this scenario the account has one name (your name for example), and then each book can display the same name, or a different one.
Yes to all. Any and all types of books.
Yes. Most people will link to the product page on Amazon, however any link is fine. Each book has its own link.
Yes, that is a great feature here. Just enter your autoresponder form code and collect email addresses.
No, this is a custom developed platform.
You are billed once per month. As such there is no refund policy. Instead at whatever time you cancel your account all future billings stop. Your site will stay active till the current paid for billing period ends. There is no obligation to keep your account for any length of time.
The unique URLs are released after 30 days of not being paid for. You can safely reclaim your URL during that period if you resume payments. After 30 days you can use your URL if it is available. Note that your content (book covers, descriptions, etc) will have been deleted when your account reached the end of final paid for billing period.
Yes, we can set up a redirect as long as the account is still paid for.
